Limited Benefit Plans
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) requires large employers to provide health coverage for their employees. Large employers without health plans or who cover only a segment of their employees may face large fines for noncompliance.
The Allied Pay or Play solution set offers several ways to manage the expense of this mandate, including Limited Benefit Plans, which allow employers to offer basic medical services to employees and their families.
Fixed Indemnity Plan*
The Fixed Indemnity Plan option is a perfect complement to members covered under the PMEC
plan. Fixed Indemnity benefits are fully insured and provide cash payments to members for a variety of medical services both inpatient and outpatient. For a low cost, the PMEC can be supplemented at various benefit levels. The plan is available as a voluntary or employer-sponsored plan offering to supplement the PMEC.
The Gap Plan provides for “gap” protection when used to supplement a high deductible health plan. If an employer provides a minimum value Bronze level plan for employees, the fully insured Gap Plan can be purchased to help bridge the deductible gap and provide richer benefits for members.
