Blog updated on 11/10/21 For the minor health issues in life, seeing your doctor virtually is rapidly becoming the favored way for someone to seek immediate help any time – day or night. And these days, skipping the waiting room and connecting with your doctor via a video chat is one way many health care providers are trying to prevent the spread of COVID-19. So, how does a virtual doctor’s office visit (commonly known as telemedicine) work? It’s as easy as picking up a smart phone or tablet or by logging in on a computer anytime. Telemedicine utilizes smart phones, personal computers and tablet technology to access live video chats. Physicians have remote access to your records, so they can prescribe medications. Some of the medical conditions that can be treated over this kind of video chat are:
With this technology making it easier for doctors and patients to connect, patients are more likely to seek care at the first sign of illness. In turn, this can increase the patient’s chances for a complete and speedy recovery. And better yet, employees don’t have to take off hours of work at a time to travel to the doctor (and these days with kids in tow), plus there are no network penalties for Allied National Funding Advantage members. Care is offered 24/7/365. By taking advantage of virtual visits for non-emergency appointments, you can help keep community members and medical professionals healthy. Almost every industry is shaped by technology, and the medical industry is no exception. The future of health care is looking brighter and more accessible, all thanks to technological advancements such as telemedicine. If you’re a Funding Advantage plan member, you can use your Cura TeleHealth & Wellness benefit and video chat with a health care provider. Learn more on our Telehealth page. It's awesome that you talked about how the healthcare industry is embracing technology and improving its operations. In my opinion, we need to adopt technology and improve our businesses with its help. If I were to run a hospital, I'd like to provide telemedicine services for my patients. Thanks for the information on how more doctors are adapting to telemedicine practices.

I have some symptoms that I want to talk to a doctor about, but I don't want to go in to the doctor's office. It makes sense that I would want to consider a virtual doctor meeting! That seems like a good way to ensure that I set everything up properly.

It's great that you elaborated on the importance of having appointments to prevent misunderstandings with your service provider. My coworker mentioned to me that he is looking for reliable health services for his mother's condition, and he asked if I have any idea what is the best option to do. Thanks to this helpful article, I'll be sure to tell him that he can consult a trusted telemedicine service as they can help with the important information and will provide proper treatment.

It’s great when you elaborated that seeing your doctor electronically for minor health concerns is quickly becoming the preferred approach for someone to get prompt care at any time of day or night. My father is 70 years old, and he wants to be in a home for the elderly where he can mingle with people of his status. We will be looking for a Home Health Care facility to accommodate him.

I like that you suggested virtual health care software which can prevent the spread of COVID-19 by avoiding lines of people. I hope that there are a lot of facilities in our area that would invest in that kind of service, so we can be in the comfort of our home. It would be a huge relief as well for us if we know that my grandmother can be checked without risking anything, because she is already very vulnerable.
